Curiously hvítserkur itself would have given way to the ocean as well had its foundations not been shored up with concrete some years ago.

Hvítserkur is marvelous sea stack shaped like a three legged creature in the north of iceland. In 1955 it was so unstable that the locals started a collection to save this beautiful dyke.
